"Curtis set the bar so high that I couldn't work with any other realtor!" Jeannie.
Referrals and testimonials are the greatest compliment that we can receive! Below are some testimonials from recent clients that Curtis has had the pleasure of working with.
Our recent experience with Curtis Wollitz as our realtor was exemplary! Curtis made us aware of a spec home being built in the Shelmore neighborhood with a floorplan and price that were both exactly what we were looking for. Thanks to his alerting us when the home was in slab stage, we were able to make all the décor selections to our preference. Throughout the process, he kept us informed and represented us when negotiating with our builder on change orders and other issues. A few days before we were due to close on our home, a plumbing problem flooded the 1st floor, resulting in a 6-week delay to perform all the needed repairs from water damage. Curtis helped us negotiate a temporary lease-back with the buyers of our existing home while repairs were in progress and assisted with having our builder reimburse us for that and other unexpected expenses. Having Curtis represent our interests to the builder and developer resulted in the best possible outcome from beginning to end.

Curtis helped me by reviewing my needs and patiently helping me find a home that was suitable for me. As a result, I was able to find a house that I am in love with and is exactly what I need. One thing I liked was that Curtis never pushed me into anything that I couldn’t afford or that was not a good fit for me. I found the experience very enjoyable and smooth. Curtis was easy to work with and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. He made sure that the builder fixed any issues with the house and was firm but fair when dealing with them. I would recommend Curtis to anyone who is looking for a home. He is professional and cares about helping his clients in any way he can.
My husband and I were extremely pleased with the services provided to us by Curtis Wollitz. His knowledge and expertise helped guide us throughout the entire buying process. Since we were unfamiliar with the area, he was instrumental in showing us a variety of different communities. Once we selected the community that was the best fit for us, Curtis negotiated the purchase of the property. He was also available every time we came down to visit and was by our side during the Kent Homes selection process. He had great insights and was very helpful while we were making decisions concerning the options for our new home. While the home was being built and we were not living in the area, he periodically checked on the construction process and sent us pictures. As a realtor, Curtis went above and beyond and we highly recommend him.

Curtis is a very knowledgeable and personal realtor. He has the uncanny ability to match you with a home that meets your needs, personality, lifestyle, and budget. After looking at dozens of homes, none of which excited us and said “this is the one”, Curtis suggested a new home he thought would match the “must haves” on our list. It was one we never would have chosen to see. After walking in the front door, we immediately fell in love with it and bought it. Curtis communicates in a timely manner and is with you every step of the process from showings to settlement. The journey ends with a new home and a new friend.

From our first contact in the spring of 2015 through our final move-in in October 2016, Curtis stayed involved all the way. During the process, he and his wife Susan became our friends – you can’t say that about many real estate agents.
He initially took us to various communities and based on our criteria we quickly narrowed our choice to Brunswick Forest.
After several trips we made down from NJ and the countless hours Curtis put in, he helped us find a lot that met our needs and our budget.
We then started the process of finding a builder and model that worked for us. Again, Curtis stayed with us throughout this whole process, pointing out the pros and cons of different models and layouts until we found a model that we fell in love with and that met our budget. But Curtis' help didn’t stop there. He researched and interviewed several seller’s real estate agents for us in NJ and the one he recommended turned out to be extremely helpful. The realtor he recommended spent the time with us up front ensuring that we had our house ready for a sale and the end result was that it sold the first weekend on the market.
Curtis was there throughout the whole build process, including weekly calls to update us on the construction status. When we made trips down to make selections, Curtis again was right there; coming with us to various suppliers and guiding us through, what at times, can be a very stressful process. He also did a great job keep our builder on target and when necessary, he intervened for us which ensured we maintained a positive relationship with our builder.
An added benefit of working with Curtis is his wife Susan. Besides being a very gracious host after a long day of house-hunting, she often came with us to look at models and to assist in the selection of options. We can’t say enough for the value of having another female around when faced with the myriad of choices you are faced with in building your dream house.
If your dream is to retire to Southeastern NC, than you can do no better than to have Curtis guide you through the process.

Let me start by saying, Curtis is more than a realtor, he has become a good friend. My search began online, looking for an area that I could retire in. Curtis was the only realtor to take the time to respond to my inquiries. I came to Leland a short time later to meet Curtis and to look at places to see, and if I would like the area. Curtis knew at that time that I wasn't buying. Curtis started by showing me multiple communities over two days. He had the insight to know that I needed to find the right community first before shopping for a home. How right he was! We went to many areas, and Curtis was very knowledgeable of all of them. It made my decision much easier. I went back home with a lot to think about. We stayed in touch, until I revisited Leland a year later. By this time he knew what I was looking for and he arranged to have a number of locations ready for me to see. I did find my new home. Curtis didn't stop being there for me even through the closing had taken place. He remained a helpful part of my getting acclimated to my new surroundings. Thank you Curtis, for all you have done in my quest of starting the next phase of my life!
Did he have to come running at my emergency call to look at a property that I thought would be put under contract before I had a chance to see it?
Did he have to spend 51/2 hours at the Design Showroom with us while we made initial selections?
Did his wife (Sue) have to spend 51/2 hours at same Design Showroom with us while we made initial selections?
Did he have to take us to to see other model homes for comparison?
Did he have to come to our walk through before closing to make sure everything was in order?
The answer to all of these questions is no. Curtis, however, is the consummate realtor that stays with and is there for his clients from the beginning to the closing and beyond. He is knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and experienced. In addition, he is simply a nice guy.
I have had the misfortune of dealing with realtors that do not have their client’s best interest in mind, but as so often happens in this world, I have had the pleasure of the complete opposite experience with the best,
A thru Z Realty and Curtis.

From the moment I started thinking about selling my home, I never gave it a second thought of who would be best to help me through the process. Having lived across the street from Curtis for two years, I knew that he would be the best person to guide me through this huge decision I was about to make. I had always relied on my late husband to make these big life decisions for us and I will admit I felt a little insecure about doing the right thing by myself. Curtis walked me through every step of the sale, from advising me on how to prepare my home for listing to opening up my house and turning on the lights for showings when I was at work. What other realtor would do that for you? He even “dog-watched” for me when people were viewing my house! He truly went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my whole experience went without a hitch. He communicated with me every step of the way and I never felt out of control or pressured to raise or lower my sales price, or settle for anything I didn’t feel was in my best interest. During all this, Curtis was there to help me figure out what to do next – should I build or buy used? So many decisions to make! I can’t tell you how many times I called him changing my mind about what I wanted, and he always supported me while at the same time gently advising me on the next move. In the end, with his assistance, I found the perfect home and neighborhood for me. I chose to go with new construction for my home. Curtis has been in constant communication with me and the developer’s staff from the very beginning. Curtis and his wonderful wife, Sue, even accompanied me to my selections appointment! If I noticed anything being built incorrectly, Curtis made sure that the builder was aware of it and fixed the issue. I can keep going on and on, but the bottom line is that if you want someone there who actually cares that you are happy and is not just out for a commission check, Curtis is your man. I would use his services again in a heartbeat. Thanks for all your support and making this as smooth and easy for me as it could possibly be.
I am very pleased to write the final chapter in the purchase of my forever home. New construction can be a stressful time, but thanks to Curtis’ guidance, I was able to get through it. Even when Curtis moved from NC to KY, he was always there for me. He did more for me from another state than most realtors would have done had they lived locally. He stayed in constant communication with me and the builder’s realtor. When I had questions about the quality of the build, he made sure the matter was resolved. He made several trips back to NC to visit the construction site. His partner in Wilmington, Cathy, also met me at the house to review some issues and I was fully represented at closing. I am ecstatic to finally be in my new home and highly recommend Curtis to help you find your forever home too!
I cannot say enough good things about our experience shopping for a house with Curtis. He was referred to us by a good friend who is a Rotarian with Curtis, so right away we had confidence in his integrity and professionalism.
We spoke with Curtis over the phone from Vermont and discussed with him our target price and a list of must haves and nice to haves. So, when we arrived, he had a wide range of houses for us to look at in various communities. And then, when we told him we wanted to look at houses above our original price range, he never tried to oversell us, but rather he gently reminded us that a particular house was over our target price.
Each time we looked at previously owned homes, he was very good at pointing out maintenance issues or home improvement projects that would be required, thus increasing the cost of the house in the short term. His explanation of the value of acquiring a new home with zero maintenance issues was instrumental in our decision to look at new home construction instead of previously owned homes. At that point, his knowledge of the local builders was especially useful.
Curtis worked with us and the builder throughout the construction and closing process. And he even stepped up to work with the builder to help us resolve a few issues that were discovered after we moved in.
We think we hit the jackpot with Curtis and highly recommend his services to anyone.
